The next meeting of the St. Tammany Photographic Society will be on Thursday, June 14th at 7:00 pm in the St. Tammany Art Association Art House on Columbia Street in Covington.
ANNUAL DUES
If you haven’t done so already, please mail or bring your annual dues payment to the next meeting. Annual dues are $20/individual and $25/couple. Also, we will be collecting donations towards the purchase of a high resolution projector for use at our meetings.
MONTHLY PHOTO ASSIGNMENT
Each month, we assign a photo project to our members to get us thinking out of the box and challenge our photographic skills. This month, the assignment is Creative Camera Angles. Here are the rules:
Take and submit your two best photos exhibiting two different camera angles in a unique way. The camera should be no higher than 18 inches above ground. Post editing using programs like Photoshop is permitted. Submit your two best photos to the ST Photo Society page on Flickr (place your photos in the assignment area, not the main photo area). The link is listed at the bottom of this page.
CANON EXPLORER OF LIGHT PRESENTATION

This event is free - no cost to attend and is being sponsored by the Greater New Orleans Camera Club (GNOCC)
The event will feature Adam Jones - Canon's Explorer of Light photographer on May 17th, 2012 starting at 7 PM lasting till 9 PM.

Field Trips
The next field trip being considered is a trip to Jean Lafitte National Park. We are seeking a mentor who would be available to guide the group. The fee will be $20/person with the proceeds going towards the purchase of a projector for our meetings. If you are interested in going on the field trip, please submit your name no later than June 14th. The group will be limited in number of attendance.

Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, at 7:00 pm in the St. Tammany Art Association Art House at 320 N. Columbia Street in Covington. Non-members who are interested in learning more about the STPS are welcome to attend any meeting.
